Heavy-Duty Degreasers

Spilled oil in production areas, carbon deposits stuck to machine surfaces, or coolant residue on workpieces need to be cleaned. Water-based concentrated degreasers are used in floor scrubbers and immersion baths, while solvent-based degreasers are preferred for quickly cleaning electrical panels (contact cleaner) and mechanical parts.

Rust Removers and Penetrants

Rather than mechanically forcing and breaking seized, rusted bolts, nuts and joints, penetrating rust-removal sprays with high penetration properties are used. These products seep through capillary cracks, dissolve rust and allow parts to be removed without damage.

Temporary Corrosion Preventives

Protective chemicals are used so that machined metal parts aren't affected by moisture and saltwater during storage or overseas shipment. These products form a thin, waxy or oily barrier on the surface to prevent rust (for example, water-displacing types).

Workplace Safety and SDS (Safety Data Sheet)

Industrial chemicals can contain concentrated acids, alkalis or flammable solvents. It is vital for workplace safety that users wear masks and gloves against skin contact, inhalation and burn risks, and are familiar with the hazard pictograms and first-aid instructions listed in the product's Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

What's the difference between water-based and solvent-based degreasers?

Water-based degreasers are alkaline, are diluted with water for economical use, and are non-flammable (for floors and immersion). Solvent-based degreasers contain no water, flash off instantly leaving no residue, but can be flammable (for sensitive parts and fast evaporation).

Which chemical is used to clean an electric motor?

When cleaning electrical panels, motor windings and circuit boards, water or water-based chemicals must NEVER be used. Special solvent-based contact cleaners that are dielectric (non-conductive) and evaporate without leaving residue should be used.

Is a protective (rust-preventive) chemical a permanent coating?

No. Industrial rust preventives provide temporary protection. Once shipment or storage is over, they can easily be removed from the surface before assembly with a simple degreasing spray.

Does using more concentrated cleaner speed up cleaning?

Contrary to popular belief, using more chemical than the maximum dilution ratio stated in the product's TDS (for example, undiluted instead of 1:10) can damage paint, plastic components and aluminum parts, and simply raises cost.
