Technical trust and transparency

Editorial Guidelines

We openly share which sources we prioritize in our knowledge base and product descriptions, how we express the limits of suitability, and how we handle corrections.

Rotek Technical Content Team

Content is prepared as corporate publications. An individual author or technical reviewer's name is only published when that person's identity, role and professional qualification can be verified publicly; we do not use an expertise title that does not exist.

Report a content correction

Producing content a technical buyer can verify

Our goal isn't to multiply generic phrases for search traffic — it's to clearly show the scope, limits and next step that's actually usable in a maintenance or purchasing decision.

Choosing sources by technical context

For new and updated content, priority is given to the manufacturer's current product data sheet (PDS), safety data sheet (SDS), equipment-manufacturer documentation, and applicable technical standards.

Separating equivalence from approval

Similar viscosity or use case alone does not mean full equivalence. An equivalent-product suggestion is a preliminary assessment; equipment-manufacturer requirements and any necessary manufacturer approvals remain decisive in the final decision.

Stating our commercial status clearly

Rotek is an independent industrial-product distributor. A brand name is used to identify a product; we do not claim authorized-distributor or manufacturer-representative status unless it is clearly documented.

Correction and updates

Technical data sheets, brand product names and equipment recommendations can change over time. When an error or outdated piece of information is reported, we re-check the source and plan the necessary correction.

Product-specific final review is always required

Content on the Rotek site provides general technical guidance; on its own, it is not an engineering approval, a warranty, or a definitive equipment-specific suitability statement. Before ordering or applying a product, current manufacturer documentation, equipment-manufacturer recommendations and actual operating conditions should be evaluated together.
