Mobil Rarus 427

The Mobil Rarus™ 400 Series comprises high-performance, ashless air compressor oils designed to meet the demanding requirements of leading compressor manufacturers. They are formulated with high-quality mineral base oils and a high-performance additive system developed to provide superior equipment protection and reliability for compressors operating from light to severe conditions. These oils provide excellent wear protection and reduce equipment problems, minimizing deposit formation and carry-over, which lowers maintenance costs. Thanks to high FZG ratings, the Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are excellent lubricants for compressor systems that include gears and bearings, and are an excellent choice for crankcase and cylinder lubrication.

Compared with conventional mineral oils, the Mobil Rarus 400 Series keeps compressors cleaner and reduces deposit formation, extending run time between maintenance intervals. Its excellent oxidation and thermal stability control deposit and sludge formation while providing longer service life. Outstanding anti-wear and anti-corrosion properties extend equipment life and improve performance.

Mobil Rarus 400 Series oils are recommended for single- and multi-stage air compressors, and are particularly effective in continuous high-temperature operation. The maximum compressed air discharge temperature per DIN 51506 is 220 °C. They are suitable for use in rotary and reciprocating compressors, which typically use lower-viscosity oils. The Rarus 400 Series is recommended for units with a history of excessive oil degradation, poor valve performance or deposit formation. They are compatible with all metals used in compressor construction and with mineral-oil-compatible elastomers used in seals, O-rings and packing.
